Oneonta, NY - The Sage College Gator Softball team traveled to
SUNY Oneonta for a double header Tuesday afternoon. The Red Dragons
defeated the Gators 15-0 in game one and 12-1 in game two.
In game one, the Red Dragons of Oneonta wasted little time putting
three runs on the board in the bottom of the first. The momentum
would never let up as they added four more in each of the next
three innings, finishing the game in five innings 15-0. The Gators
were led by Maria Pasquarelli (Amsterdam, NY) and
Melissa McConville (Loudonville, NY) as they each
recorded a single. McConville pitched a complete
five inning game allowing fifteen runs on nineteen hits.
Game two of the day saw a little more action with the bats for the
Gators as Kellie Jones (Troy, NY) went 2-3 with
two singles. Joahna Petralia (Greenwich, NY) and
Jaime Handford (Berlin, NY) each recorded a single
for Sage. Sara Rysedorph (Troy,
NY) pitched a complete five inning game allowing twelve runs on
eleven hits.
Sage returns to action tomorrow as they travel to Cazenovia College
for a non-conference double header.
