Houghton, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College's men's cross country team was in action Saturday afternoon on the campus of Houghton University in the 2022 Empire 8 Championship. Nazareth College won the men's team title for the third consecutive year with a score of 23 points.

In the men's race, senior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY/Troy) posted a time of 28:29.1 for the 8 k distance. Rookie Rob Cusato (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) took home 57th place in 30:51.7. Rookie Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) who was 62^nd in 31:39.8, while sophomore Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) took home 69^th place in 34:09.8.

Looking ahead, the Gators run Saturday, November 12 at the 2022 NCAA Regionals hosted by St. Lawrence University.
