RSC Men's Cross Country Team competes at Hamilton Invitational

Clinton, NY— Russell Sage College's men's cross country squad travelled to Hamilton College on Saturday to race in the Hamilton Invitational. In the men's race, Hamilton was also the champion for the 5 k course as scored 22points while the Gators finished in ninth place with 266 points.

Leading the way for the Gator men's team was junior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY/Troy) as he posted a time of 17:48.2 and finished in 20th place for the 5 k distance. Graduate runner Holden Maynard (Schenectady, NY/Mohanasen) was next in 36th place in 18:54.9.

Senior captain Brett Labier (Albany, NY/Colonie) was next in 21:54.8 to take 54th place, while rookie Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Hudson) was next for the Gators in 56th place with his time of 22:02.8. Freshman Chad Hicks (New York, NY/Urban Assembly Maker Academy) was 60th in 24:12.6.

The Gators will be back in action on October 30 hosting the 2021 Empire 8 Championship at Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich, NY. The men's race will commence at 11 a.m. and the women's race will follow at noon.
