Men's Cross Country races to 7th at Vassar Invitational

Poughkeepsie, NY— Russell Sage College's men's cross country team competed on Saturday at Vassar College in the Ron Stonitch Invitational. RSC's men's team picked up seventh place in a field of seven teams as Vassar won the men's team title with 30 points, just ahead of RPI's 35 points. The Gators scored 204 points for the day.

Leading the way for the Gators was junior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY) as he posted a time of 22:22.7 for the 6 k distance and was 31st. Graduate runner Holden Maynard (Schenectady, NY/Mohanasen) was next in 38th place in 24:12.1.

Senior Brett Labier (Albany, NY/Colonie) was next in 26:51.7 to place 44th, while freshman Chad Hicks (New York, NY/Urban Assembly Maker Academy) was 45th in 28:57.0. Rookie Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Hudson) was 46th in 29:13.2.

Next week the Gators travel to Oneonta State to run in the Airfield Invitational on September 18.
