RSC Men's Cross Country Team Opens Year at SUNY-Poly

Marcy, NY— Russell Sage College's men's cross country team opened the new season on Saturday as they ran at the SUNY-Poly Short Course Invitational. SUNY-Cobleskill won the race with a team score of 24 and had the medalist as Eamonn Sullivan posted a time of 19:03 on the day for the 6 k course. RSC finished in seventh place at the race with a score of 183.

Leading the way for the Gators was junior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY) as he posted a time of 22:14.1 to take home 27th place. Graduate runner Holden Maynard (Schenectady, NY/Mohanasen) was next in 33rd place in 23:41.9.

Next for the Gators was freshman Chad Hicks (New York, NY/Urban Assembly Maker Academy) as he took 39th in 26:49.7. Senior Brett Labier (Albany, NY/Colonie) was right behind him in 40th in 27:02.4, while rookie Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Hudson) was 44th in 29:57.9.

The Gators are back in action on September 11 travelling to Vassar College.
