Poughkeepsie, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's cross country team opened the 2018 season on Friday night competing at the Vassar College Invitational. Vassar's men's and women's teams won the team crowns, while also producing the top individual finishers as well. Vassar Women's posted a team score of 15 to win the women's crown, while Sage women picked up fourth in a team field of five squads with a score of 104. Vassar's Christina Prater-Lee won the women's 3 K race with her time of 11:12.2. On the men's side, Vassar's Jack Caslino took home the medalist finish in the 4 k race with a time of 12:46.8.

For Sage's men's team the Gators were led by the performance of junior Jarryd Wick (Ayers, MA/E.F. Parker School) as he was 45th in 17:08.0.

Next up Sage will be back in action on September 8 at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational at Vassar.
