Reyes-Alvarez becomes Sage's first three-time Skyline First Team performer

Milton, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's cross country team was in action on Sunday at the 2014 Skyline Conference Cross Country Championships. Mt. St. Mary College (NY) knocked off defending league champions, St. Joseph's College (LI) in the men's race by one point as they won 57-58, while Sage took home ninth place. 

Sage's men's team was paced by the efforts of junior captain Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) as he became the program's first three-time Skyline Conference First Team All-Star. He posted a time of 29:22.27 to finish in fifth place. On his career, he also finished in fifth as a rookie in 2012 and last year took home third place.

Senior Taylor McMillen (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) finished the race in 35:42.40 and took home 53rd place, while junior Nick Haas (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) was next for the Gators in 67th in 38:00.01. Senior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) posted a time of 38:43.77 and took 70th place. Rookie Donald Edwards (Brooklyn, NY/James Westinghouse) posted a time of 42:47.40 and took home 75th place, just ahead of senior James Carroll (Troy, NY/Home Schooled) as he finished in 76th in 44:32.63.
