Reyes-Alvarez takes home second place at Green Mountain Invitational

Poultney, VT---The Sage Colleges' men's cross country team was in action on Saturday afternoon at the Green Mountain College Invitational. The Gator men took sixth in a field of seven complete teams.

For the Gators, sophomore Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) picked up second place in 25:27 for the 8 k race.

Senior Cory Alvarado (Shokan, NY/Onteora) finished next for the Gators in 21st place in 28:36, while junior Josh Myers (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) picked up a 27th place in 29:17. Senior co-captain Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central) picked up 36th in 33:01, while junior co-captain Taylor McMillen (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) posted a time of 34:03 to take home 41st place for the Gators.

Sage returns to action on October 27 travelling to the 2013 Skyline Conference Championships that will be held at Van Cortlandt Park (Bronx, NY). With the women's race is at noon and the men's race followes at 1 p.m.
