Sage men pick up fourth at Castleton Meet

Castleton, VT---The Sage Colleges' men's cross country team was in action on Saturday afternoon at the Castleton State College Invitational. Sage men picked up fourth place on the day.

Taking home the individual championship for the 8 K course was Castleton's Isaac French with his time of 27:03, while Sage's sophomore Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) was right behind him in 27:30 to take second.  Junior Josh Myers (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) picked up a fourth place finish with a time of 28:35.

Senior Cory Alvarado (Shokan, NY/Onteora) finished next for the Gators in 20thth place in 31:28, while junior co-captain Taylor McMillen (Wynantskill, NY/Averill Park) posted a time of 33:18 to take home 26th place. Taking 27th place in 33:35 was senior co-captain Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central).

Junior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass) finished in 31st place in 36:42, while junior James Carroll (Troy, NY/Home Schooled) picked up 33rd place in 37:59. Sophomore Lucas Scott (Brooklyn, NY/Arts and Media Prep Academy) rounded out the Sage competitors with his time of 44:36 to take 47th place.

Sage returns to action on September 21 travelling to Bard College for the Raptor Invitational.
