ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) was announced as the New England Volleyball Conference Rookie of the Week for the period ending Sunday, March 24.

The outside hitter, who has earned the award on three occasions this spring, tallied 31 kills, 3.10 per-set, on .207 hitting, 13 digs, six total blocks, two aces, and two assists across three matches last week.

RSC has a pair of road NEVC contests set for this weekend.  The Gators (6-18/1-4 NEVC) will face NVU Johnson on Friday night and SUNY Potsdam on Saturday afternoon.

Gator Bites: 2024 marked the Gators first as members of the New England Volleyball Conference…League coaches picked RSC, under the direction of Reid Hartl, to finish sixth in the NEVC…The roster, which has six returnees from last season, boasts plenty of local flavor with eight student-athletes hailing from Section 2…Hartl, now in his third season, added seven newcomers to the roster, including four freshmen…Four grad students are the roster, including co-captains: libero Deshawn Fleary, (Newark, NJ/Immaculate Conception Montclair), and outside hitter Jarod Martel (Albany, NY/Colonie Central)…Freshman outside hitter Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) was selected the NEVC Rookie of the Week three times this spring…He earned the accolade for the periods ending January 21, February 11, and March 24.
