ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College returned to the win column with a pair of 3-0 sweeps of visiting Lesley this afternoon.
The Gators, which held the visiting Lynx (0-13/0-6 NECC) to -.093 hitting on the afternoon, had four different players total double-digit kills across the pair of wins.
Senior opposite Elijah Tortorici (Clifton Park, NY/Mohonasen) topped the quartet with 16 kills, 3.20 per-set, on .393 hitting.
Junior opposite Wylkins Occelin (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) added 14 on. 370 hitting, to go along with eight aces and six digs.
Senior opposite Deshawn Fleary (Newark, NJ/Immaculate Conception Montclair) tossed in 12 kills, while middle hitter Andrew Samson (Queens, NY/Pathways), a graduate student contributed 10 kills on .692 hitting.
Sophomore setter/outside hitter Jack McWilliam (Fishkill, NY/Arlington) registered 50 assists, six aces and 19 digs to help the Gators end an eight-match slide.
RSC (6-24/1-5 NECC) continues New England Collegiate Conference play with a Thursday night visit to Eastern Nazarene.
