ANNANDALE-on-HUDSON, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College was upended 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-16) at Bard tonight.

Junior outside hitter Corey Topple (Hudson, NY/Hudson) and senior middle hitter Mikhail Hailu (Saratoga Springs, NY/Schuylerville) (above) topped the Gators with five kills apiece. Setter Ryan Jennings (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick Twp.), a graduate student, added 20 assists and six digs.

Junior outside hitter Angel Obergh and freshman opposite Ty McGlynn each registered 16 points to lead Bard (7-8). Obergh recorded 12 kills on .421 hitting, six digs and four aces, while McGlynn tallied 11 kills, four aces, and two blocks.

RSC competes next at the Wells Tri-Match tomorrow afternoon. The Gators (4-13) will face SUNY Potsdam at 1:00 PM and the host Express at 3:00 PM.

Notes: Freshman defensive specialist/libero Camden Knight (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills) was selected the Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week by the Empire 8 Conference and the New England Collegiate Conference...He registered 20 digs, 2.86 per set, across two matches last week.
