Men's volleyball drops UVC match to #12 ranked Vassar

Poughkeepsie, NY-  The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team fell to the No. 12 ranked Brewers of Vassar College on Sunday afternoon in UVC play. Sage drops to 9-14 overall and 3-5 in the league.

Vassar posted a 3-0 win over the Gators, (25-13, 25-20, 25-21) and are now 17-5 overall and 6-1 in the UVC.

Senior outside hitter Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) collected four kills with three digs, while fellow classmate and outside hitter Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) added six kills with a pair of assists.

Sophomore middle hitter Scott Sanders (Los Angelos, CA/Taft) added sevn kills with a .417 attack percentage, while senior libero Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) picked up six digs. Sophomore Jarod Martel (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) racked up four digs, while junior Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) posted 15 setting assists with four digs. Rookie setter Ryan Jennings (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick) picked up 10 setting assists with four digs with a kill.

Sage will be back in action on March 31 hosting a non-conference tri-match in Kahl Gym. Sage will face Purchase College at 11 a.m. and John Jay College at 3 p.m.
