Men's volleyball falls to Nazareth in UVC play

New Paltz, NY-  The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team visited SUNY-New Paltz on Saturday for a UVC match with Nazareth College. Nazareth collected the 3-0 win (25-15, 25-22, 25-20) and improves to 15-6 overall and 3-1 in the UVC. Sage drops to 7-11 overall and 1-3 in the UVC.

Sage's senior outside hitter Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) led the team with his 13.0 points after adding 12 kills with four digs. Senior outside hitter Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) picked up three kills with two digs and a pair of block assists.

Sophomore middle hitter Scott Sanders (Los Angeles, CA/Taft) added four kills with two digs and three block assists. Rookie setter Ryan Jennings (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick) added 19 setting assists in the match with two digs and an ace. Senior libero Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) picked up four digs with one setting assist, while making just reception error in 16 attempts for a .941 reception percentage.

Sage will be back in action on March 11 at SUNY-New Paltz for a noon match with St. John Fisher College.
