NEW YORK – After a huge match win over Southern Vermont, junior Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) was named the week five Skyline Men's Volleyball Player of the Week.

Cecchi posted NCAA Division III's highest single-match hitting percentage (10-14 attempts) in a 3-0 win over Southern Vermont. The co-captain was ten for eleven errorless attempts to total a .909 hitting percentage.

The outside hitter currently ranks 6th in the Skyline in hitting percentage (.306), 6th in total kills (89) and 7th in kills/set (2.78).

Amongst this year's squad at Sage, Cecchi finds himself ranked in the top three in kills, kills/set, hitting percentage, aces (ten), digs (41), block assists (11), points (114.5) and points/set (3.3).

With over a year and half left in his career, Cecchi has already made a name for himself in the program record books. In single-match categories, he is featured 12 times while he is found in the single-season records seven times so far. In career records, Cecchi is in 3rd in kills (667), 3rd in aces/set (0.33), 4th in aces (79), 4th in points (795.5), 5th in kills/set (2.80), 5th in solo blocks (29), 6th in points/set (3.3), 6th in reception percentage (.930), 7th in digs (373), 10th in total blocks (70) and 10th in assists (54).

Sage returns to play Thurs., Feb. 23 as the Gators travel to Vassar to take on the Brewers at 7 p.m.
