NEW YORK – Junior co-captain Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) was named the week three Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week.

Guyton led the Gators (5-3) on a 2-1 week with wins over Elms (5-4) and NJCU (0-4). In Sage's 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-22) win over the Blazers of Elms, Guyton posted a match-high 22.5 points on 17 kills, four blocks and three aces with a .382 hitting percentage. His 17 kills rank 10th in NCAA Division III play in three-set match kills.

The outside hitter national ranking performance in a 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-21) loss to Regis (Mass.) (3-4) with 17 kills. He also added an ace and four digs with a .500 hitting percentage to total 18 points.

In Sage's final match of the week with NJCU, Guyton led the Gators to a 3-1 (25-15, 25-27, 25-13, 25-13) win. The junior once again posted a match-high 19 points on 15 kills, four blocks and a service ace. His .565 hitting percentage ranks 12th in the country in single match hitting percentage (min. 20 attempts).

After eight matches played, Guyton finds himself ranked nationally in points/set (4th, 5.02), kills/set (6th, 4.13), hitting percentage (10th, .422) and aces/set (34th, 0.58).

The Gators are back in action Feb. 10-11. Sage takes on Lasell (9-1) on Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. They play Elmira (1-10) and D'Youville (1-0) the next day at noon and 2 p.m. respectively.
