ALBANY – Sage opened up Skyline Conference play on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 win against Purchase College (25-16, 25-23, 25-19) and a 3-0 loss against Ramapo College (26-24, 25-18, 25-23).

Ryan Guyton (Lockport, NY/Lockport) led the Gators on offense with 23 kills (3.83/set) with an impressive .469 hitting percentage. Bailey Cecchi (Agawam, MA/Agawam) added 16 kills (2.67/set) with a .372 attacking percentage while Chris MacArthur (Hillsdale, NY/Taconic Hills) recorded nine kills (1.5/set) with a .375 attacking percentage.

Casey Fitzpatrick (Haverhill, MA/Haverhill) tallied 55 of Sage's (4-10, 1-1 Skyline) 60 assists. The sophomore averaged 9.17 assists/set.

On defense, Guyton (3 BS, 1 BA) and MacArthur (1 BS, 5 BA) led the way with 3.5 blocks a piece. Austin Laverty (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) added 2.5 blocks (1 BS, 3 BA) with Zachary Karl (Central Square, NY/Central Square) totaling two blocks himself (1 BS, 2 BA). Melvin Tejada (Springfied, MA/Springfield) led with 14 digs (2.33/set) with Cecchi adding 12 (2.00/set).

Leading the Roadrunners against Sage, Justin Feigeles led the match with 18 kills and a .393 hitting percentage. Mikael Erushalimski recorded a game high 30 assists. Spencer Shickora and Nick Amos led the way on defense for Ramapo (4-6, 3-0 Skyline) with 12 digs and 1.5 blocks respectively.

Kevin Carges recorded a game high 17 kills against Sage with a .419 hitting percentage for Purchase (4-7, 0-3 Skyline). Riley Demerell and Andrew Schwab split the assists duties for the Panthers with 18 and 14 respectively. Carges played big defensively for Purchase with a team-high 10 digs and one block assist.

After today's contests, Sage is tied for fourth with Mount Saint Vincent (1-1) in the Skyline behind first place Ramapo (3-0) and second place Kean and NJCU (1-0).

The Gators take to the road for their next match as they take on Elms College on Wed., Feb. 17 at 8 p.m.
