New York, NY – The Sage College's men's volleyball senior captain, Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) was named to the 2014 Skyline Conference All-Star First Team for his efforts in leading the Gators this season. Senior libero Cory Gransbury (Round Top, NY/Cairo Durham) earned Second Team honors.
Named the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week for his play on March 31 and the ECAC Division III South Co-Player of the Week on April 1, Krowicki wraps his stellar career having excelled for Sage's men's volleyball program both on the court and in the classroom.
Krowicki finishes his career as the all-time point leader with 1,212.5 points, while ranking first in kills with 1,044. For the year, Krowicki led Sage with his 352 kills, while adding a .252 hitting percentage. He had 19 aces with 205 digs and a .969 reception percentage. He also added 401 points in the year to lead Sage. He had 41 total blocks in 26 matches played and started. He ranks nationally in the latest NCAA Division III statistics as of April 14. He is No. 7 in points per set (4.61), while ranking No. 8 in kills per set average (4.05), and No. 32 in digs per set (3.26). He was also ranked No. 77 in hitting percentage with a .252 average, which led Sage and ranks ninth in the league.
He capped his career with a Sage single-match record for most kills in a match as he had 26 kills and on Senior Night in a five-set loss to College of Mt. St. Vincent. Over the course of the 2014 campaign, he surpassed 20 kills on five occasions, while racking up six double-doubles. He added a .969 reception percentage as well with a number of Sage career marks to his credit.
Over the course of the 2014 season, he was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll once (2/10/14), while also earning a spot on the Endicott College All-Tournament Team.
A newcomer to the Sage men's volleyball team in 2012 after one season as Wildcat volleyball player at SUNY-IT, Krowicki excelled. Named to the 2012 Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team, he finished the 2012 season ranked No. 47 in Division III in hitting percentage (.266), while also ranking No. 18 in kills per set (3.38).
He led the Gators with his team-best 318 kills in 94 sets played, with 188 digs and 29 total blocks. He was named to the All-Tournament Team at both the Bard College and Endicott College Tournaments.
He also excelled in the classroom, earning a selection as the 2012 Skyline Men's Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year after earning placement on the Skyline Scholar-Athlete Team and Sage's All-Academic Team. He was named to the inaugural Sage Scholar-Athlete Team for his efforts in the Fall of 2012 in the classroom. He was placed on the Sage Scholar-Athlete Team again for the Spring of 2013 and the Fall of 2013, while earning five Dean's List citations at Sage.
He is a member of the Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society and is a candidate for the 2014 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America Team as well as a candidate for the Dean Sharon Robinson Scholar-Athlete Award as the senior male student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average.
Gransbury tallied a team-best 266 digs on the year in 87 sets played and currently ranks ninth nationally with his digs per set average (3.06). He wraps his career as a four-year letterwinner for the Gators, and was named the team's Most Improved Player in 2012.
As a junior, he played in 121 sets in 37 matches and racked up 16 aces with 161 digs. He averaged 1.33 digs per set in 2013 and now has a 1.2 digs per set average on his career.
He finishes his career with 551 digs while adding 150 setting assists in 325 sets played in 100 matches. He ranks No. 4 on the Sage career lists in setting assists, while ranking No. 8 in service aces (27), and No. 4 in career digs. Hs finishes his career No. 3 all-time in career sets played, while ranking No. 3 in matches played.
He is majoring in physical education at Sage and is a Sage Scholar-Athlete honoree.
