Gators stun NJCU on Senior Night, 3-2

Jersey City, NJ – The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team travelled to New Jersey City University on Wednesday night for a Skyline Conference match. Sage spoiled the Senior Night for the Gothic Knights, who beat Sage earlier in the season, 3-0. Sage triumphed tonight, 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11) and improves to 7-15 overall and 6-5 in the Skyline. NJCU is now 10-15 overall and also 6-5 in the league.

Sage has now won three of their last four matches and returns to action on April 4. Sage hosts the AVCA's No. 3 ranked SUNY-New Paltz Hawks at Kahl Gym at 7 p.m.  On April 6, Sage will travel to Ramapo College for the final Skyline Tri-match of the year facing both Ramapo and Purchase at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

Sage's senior captain Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls), who earned both ECAC South Division III Player of the Week honors as well as Skyline Conference Players of the Week status, had another monster night, He had a 20 kill night with 10 digs, and five total blocks.

Senior Connor Thompson (Delmar, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) added a season-best 18 kills as well with seven digs and six total blocks.

Senior setter Matthew DeGeyter (Hudson, NY/Hawthorne Valley) had 49 setting assists with eight digs. Senior libero Cory Gransbury (Round Top, NY/Cairo-Durham) added 14 digs for the Gators.
