Gators fall twice at Skyline Quad-Match

Union, NJ – The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team travelled to Kean University for a Skyline Conference quad-match. Sage fell to defending league champion, Kean 3-0 in the first match (25-22, 25-21, 25-22). The Gators fell to the Dolphins of the College of Mt. St. Vincent in the nightcap, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-23). The Gators drop to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in the league.

Against Kean, senior captain Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) added 12 kills with four digs. Rookie Chris MacArthur (Hillsdale, NY/Taconic Hills) added seven kills with a dig, while senior setter Matthew DeGeyter (Hudson, NY/Hawthorne Valley) added 22 setting assists with four digs. Senior libero Cory Gransbury (Round Top, NY/Cairo-Durham) added 12 digs for the Gators.

In the second match, Sage senior captain Connor Thompson (Delmar, NY/CBA) added six kills, while Krowicki added nine kills and seven digs. DeGeyter chipped in with 20 setting assists with 11 digs. Gransbury added 11 digs as well for the gators and was perfect with no errors in his 10 receptions.

The Gators will be back in action on February 19 hosting Purchase College in a 7 p.m. Skyline Conference match at Kahl Gym.
