Albany, NY--- The Sage Colleges’ men’s volleyball team co-captain, junior Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) was named the first Skyline Conference Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week. Also named Sage’s team co-captain last week, Hilland proceeded to help the team to a 2-1 start overall and a 2-0 mark in conference action.

He leads the squad with his 37 kills, eight blocks and added a .306 attack percentage on the week. He added double-digit kills in the team’s pair of Skyline Conference matches with 15 and 16, respectively. He averaged a 4.11 kills per set and will lead his Gators into action on Tuesday evening, January 31 when they host Kean University. First serve is set for 7 p.m. in the Kahl Center as the Gators host another of the Skyline Conference’s unbeaten teams.
