Hilton, NY--Russell Sage College men's outdoor track and field team member, senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) earned his third award this season as the Empire 8 Men's Track Performer of the Week.

The citation comes on the heels of a banner showing at the 2023 Capital District Championship held at RPI on April 28. Coddington won the shot put with a throw of 15.07 meters and broke his own record of 14.88 meters. In the hammer, he was third with a throw of 45.82 meters and added a fourth in the discus with his performance of 39.79 meters.

The Gators are back in action on May 5-6 at the 2023 Empire 8 Outdoor Championship that will take place at Utica University.
