RSC Men's Track Squad in action at RPI Under the Lights Meet

Troy, NY--Russell Sage College men's outdoor track and field team competed Friday night at the RPI Under the Lights Invitational.

Senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) won the shot put after recording a throw of 14.65 65 meters. In the hammer toss, he was second with a throw of 47.32 meters. He was also fifth in the discus with a throw of 37.64 meters.

Sophomore Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) was 19th in the javelin with his throw of 45.99 meters to break his own record set last week of 39.51 meters. He finished in fourth place in the event.

Rookie Noah Rivera (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) was 13th in the long jump (5.42meters), as well as taking home 20th in the 200 meter run in 24.94. He added in the triple jump, as well taking 19th in the 100 meter dash in 11.97.

Sophomore David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) was 11th in the 100 with a time of 11.52.  Sophomore Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) was 13th in the javelin with a throw of 22.07 meters, while sophomore Randal Johnson (East Orange, NJ/East Orange) picked up 19th in the shot with his performance of 9.01 meters.

Freshman Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie) was 20th in the 800 meter run in 2:09.16. Rookie Dominic Harkness (Morrisonville, NY/Saranac) was 15th in the in the 400 meter dash in 55.46 and was 24th in the 200 meter run in 25.74. Rookie Elijah Gustave (Brooklyn, NY/Cristo Rey-Brooklyn) was 29th in the 200 meter in 26.47 and 24th in the 100 meter dash in 12.40.

In the 4 x100 relay, RSC took home third place in event in 47.15 behind the work of Adadjo, Harkness, Rivera and Simpson. In the combined 4x 400 relay, the tandem of Adadjo, Harkness and women's runners was rookie Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) and junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) finished in 11th in 4:05.33. Pelligrini, Langer and women's runners rookie Charisma Losee (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and sophomore Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham) were 19th in 4:19.30.

The Gators are back in action on April 21 competing at the University at Albany Spring Invitational at 3 p.m.
