ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College freshman Christopher Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, December 4.

The rookie set the program record in the 600m run at Springfield College on Saturday with a time of 1:34.93.

He also helped the RSC 4x400m relay team score points in its season opener.

Looking ahead, the Gators head to Utica on Saturday for the Utica Holiday Classic.
