Coddington adds his name to school mark at Hamilton Invitational

Clinton, NY –  Russell Sage College's men's outdoor track and field team competed on Saturday at the Hamilton College Invitational, a non-team scored meet.

Junior captain John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) finished second in the shot put with his throw of 14.01 meters. He added an eight place showing in the hammer throw with a throw of 40.24 meters. He added a 11th place finish in the discus with a school record throw of 34.45 meters, bettering the previous mark set in 2016 by Ben Hulett of 32.65 meters.

Rookie David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) had another impressive meet as he had a multiple top performances. He was third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.75 meters. He picked up fourth in the 400 meter dash in 52.11, seventh in the 100 meter dash (11.50), and eighth in the 200 meter dash in 23.25.

In the 800 meter run, rookie Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills) finished 23rd in 2:28.77, while senior Brett LaBier (Albany, NY/Colonie) added a time of 2:37.49 and was 25th. In the 1,500 meter run, LaBier was 30th in 5:11.61, while Langer took home 31st place in 5:15.40. In the 5,000 meter run, junior Joe Degiorgio (Troy, NY/Troy) took home 21st in 16:42.09. Rookie Randal Johnson (East Orange, NJ/East Orange) finished in 29th in the shot put with his throw of 7.21 meters and was 24th in the hammer throw with a throw of 22.26 meters.
