ALBANY, N.Y. –  The Empire 8 Conference announced its Indoor Track and Field Individual Award Winners and Russell Sage College had three student-athletes recognized. Voting was conducted by the Head Coaches.

Junior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) was voted the Co-Rookie of the Year. The co-captain finished second at the E8 Championships in both the shot put and weight throw and established program records in both events.

Coddington earned multiple honors for his performance this season.  He made the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team and was selected second-team All-Conference. The program's first All-Region honoree recorded the second-best throw in the shot put (14.75 meters) and fourth-best weight throw (15.81 meters) in the Mideast Region.

Sophomore Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) and freshman David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) made the E8 Sportswomen and Sportsmen of the Year Teams.

The duo distinguished themselves and consistently exhibited the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen.
