ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College junior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) was named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, December 5.

He won the shot put and weight throw events at Saturday's Springfield College Season Opener. Coddington achieved a mark of 14.01 meters in the shot put and threw the weight 15.12m.

Looking ahead, the Gators compete next at Middlebury on January 22.
