Vice lauded as Men's Track Team's Gator of the Year

Albany, NY — The Sage Colleges' department of athletics recently announced the recipients of the department's annual awards.  Sage named junior Noah Vice (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) the 2019-2020 men's track and field Gator of the Year.

Head track and field coach David Taranto remarked, "This was Noah's first year at Sage after transferring from Hudson Valley Community College and even though we didn't get to see him compete on the track, the effort he put in each day at practice was not unnoticed." Taranto added, "He worked hard in the classroom as well, having one of the highest GPAs on the team. While he was a man of few words many practices, he put his head down and got to work. He did much of his training alone, making it easy to see he was motivated and ready to compete before the season got cancelled. Luckily from our time trials we were able to see what kind of talent Noah has, and it was sure to put him near the top of many results."

Vice was to be a newcomer with the 2020 Gator men's track and field team after transferring from nearby HVCC. While at HVCC, he won the Region 3 championship in both 2018 and 2019.

He is majoring in physical education at Sage.
