Houghton, NY— The Sage Colleges' men's and women's outdoor track and field teams wrapped action on Saturday afternoon at the 2019 Empire 8 Track and Field Championships on the campus of Houghton College. The two-day event saw Stevens Institute of Technology win both the women's and the men's team titles. Stevens won the men's crows by outdistancing the competition with 231 points, while Sage picked up seventh place in the team race.

For the Gator men's team, 2019 has been a banner year as well. Sage competed on Saturday in the 4 x 100 relay and just missed their own school record time as they picked up sixth with a time of 45.51 (45.00 is the school record). Running the relay on Saturday for the Gators was rookie Ramosaj Williams (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt), junior Arnoldo Burnett (Bronx, NY/John F. Kennedy), rookie Tyler Mitchell (Bronx, NY/All Hallows), and sophomore Ellis Richardson (Hudson, NY/Hudson)
