Men's Track posts impressive efforts at Vassar Meet

Poughkeepsie, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's track and field team competed on Saturday at the Vassar College Invitational. Stevens won the men's team crown with a score of 265, while Sage picked up 10th place in the invitational.

For Sage's men's team, rookie Ellis Richardson (Hudson, NY/Hudson) posted an 11th place finish in the 100 meter dash with his time of 12.12 and freshman Isaac Kerolle (Queens, NY/Transit Tech) added a 15th place showing in the same event with his time of 14.60. Richardson was also 13th in the 200 meter run in 24.96, while Kerolle added a 20th place finish in 31.16 in the 200 meter run. Richardson added a 12th in the long jump with his leap of 4.53 meters, while 100 meter run in 14.55, while also adding a 40th place finish in the 200 meter run in 30.65. Junior Zack Bishop (Hudson Falls, NY/Hudson Falls) took ninth in the shot put with his toss of 8.45 meters.

Head Coach Williams noted, "Ellis Richardson and Isaac Kerolle both put up a fight in the short sprints today. They've made some improvements over the season, and are likely to make some more before the season comes to a close."

Next up for the team, they will compete on April 29 at the Capital District Championship at RPI.
