Men's track closes season at Matthew Vassar Meet - Sage Athletics

Poughkeepsie, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's track and field team travelled to the Matthew Vassar Twighlight Meet at Vassar College for the final competition of the season. A non-team scored meet, the Gators posted some strong performances despite the less than ideal weather conditions.

Leading the way for Sage's men's team was senior Anthony Williamson (Beacon, NY/Beacon) with a sixth place finish in 11.50 meters. He was fourth in the high jump (1.75 meters) and added a seventh in the 200 meter run in 23.14.

Sophomore Jarryd Wick (Ayers, MA/E. F. Parker School) finished in 25^th in the 1,500 meter run in 5:20.73, while senior Ian Alejandro (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) added a 10^th place finish in the 800 meter with his time of 2:13.91.

Junior Zaheer Ahmad (Queens, NY/Academy of Innovative Technology) added an 8^th place finish in the 100 meter run in 12.28. Sophomore Zack Bishop (Hudson Falls, NY/Hudson Falls) picked up 11^th in the shot put for Sage with toss of 7.95 meters.
