Men's track closes season at Matthew Vassar Meet

Poughkeepsie, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's track and field team travelled to the Matthew Vassar Twighlight Meet at Vassar College for the final competition of the season. A non-team scored meet, the Gators posted some strong performances despite the less than ideal weather conditions.

Leading the way for Sage's men's team was senior Anthony Williamson (Beacon, NY/Beacon) with a sixth place finish in 11.50 meters. He was fourth in the high jump (1.75 meters) and added a seventh in the 200 meter run in 23.14.

Sophomore Jarryd Wick (Ayers, MA/E. F. Parker School) finished in 25th in the 1,500 meter run in 5:20.73, while senior Ian Alejandro (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) added a 10th place finish in the 800 meter with his time of 2:13.91.  

Junior Zaheer Ahmad (Queens, NY/Academy of Innovative Technology) added an 8th place finish in the 100 meter run in 12.28. Sophomore Zack Bishop (Hudson Falls, NY/Hudson Falls) picked up 11th in the shot put for Sage with toss of 7.95 meters.
