Sage men collect strong finishes at Hamilton Meet

Clinton, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's track and field team was in action on Tuesday evening at the Hamilton College Invitational, a non-team scored meet.

For the men, Sage's senior Anthony Williamson (Beacon, NY/Beacon) picked up third in the 100 meter dash in 11.52 and also finished in third in the high jump with a mark of 1.75 meters. He added a 6th in the 200 meter run in 23.53.

Junior Frane Larose (Miami, FL/North Miami Beach Senior) was 8th in the 100 meter dash (12.16) as well as 11th in the 200 meter dash (24.68). He also competed in the long jump and finished 6th with a leap of 5.42 meters.

Rookie Anthony Mitchell (Bronx, NY/Salesian) was 13th in the 100 meter dash in 12.41 and 18th in the 200 meter run in 12.74.  He picked up fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters and was third in the long jump with his performance of 5.67 meters.

Senior Ian Alejandro (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) added a 19th place finish in the 800 meter run in 2:17.52, while sophomore Jarryd Wick (Ayers, MA/E. F. Parker School) finished in 17th place in the 1,500 meter run in 5:18.79, while junior Stephen Paulk ( West Palm Beach, FL/Palm Beach Lakes) was 19th in the 1,500 meter run in 5:27.68.

Junior Zaheer Ahmad (Queens, NY/Academy of Innovative Technology) added an 11th place finish in the 100 meter dash (12.41) and a 14th place finish in the 200 meter run in 24.95.   

In the 400 meter run, sophomore Malik McNeish (Bronx, NY/The Eagle Academy for Young Men) was 16th in 1:01.18.  

Sage also finished in third place in the 4 x 100 relay with a time of 46.91 behind the efforts of Larose, Ahmad, Mitchell and Williamson.

Sage's junior Barceem Dukes (Gloversville, NY/Gloversville) was 10th in the shotput with a throw of 9.36 meters and sophomore Deion Thomas (New York, NY/Democracy Prep) as 11th with a throw of 9.27 meters.

The Gators will be back in action on April 22 travelling to the Wesleyan University for a meet.
