MANHATTANVILLE SPOILS SAGE MEN'S TENNIS OPENER

Purchase, NY—The Sage Colleges' men's tennis team travelled to Purchase College for the first match of the season. Manhattanvile posted a 9-0 win over Sage to improve to 1-1, while Sage drops to 0-1.

 

For the Gators, senior Tyler Schnaible (Ballston Lake, NY/Shenendehowa) had a tight match at No. 1 singles dropping a 6-2, 6-4 decision to Dylan Crowley.  He teamed at No. 1 doubles with junior Dan Mackey (Westerlo, NY/Greenville) but the Gator pair fell 8-2 to Crowley and Soya Goto.

Schnaible went 5-5 last season at No. 2 singles and set the program's mark for most singles wins in a season, while also boasting the career singles wins mark as well with his 8 wins and is now 8-11 at Sage as the team's returning Gator of the Year honoree.
