Utica, NY—The Pioneers of Utica College hosted Sage in men's tennis on Monday afternoon in a non-conference match. The Pioneers tallied an 8-1 win to improve to 3-1 on the season. The loss puts Sage at 0-7 on the season.

Sophomore Rick Butt (Ballston Spa, NY/Bellport) was a winner for the Gators at No. 5 singles and he defeated Sam Cotrupe, 6-3, 6-2 for his first career victory.

The Gators return to action on April 10 travelling to the St. Joseph's College for a 6 p.m. Skyline Conference match.
