Albany, NY—The Sage College's Men's Tennis team hosted Yeshiva University on Sunday afternoon in a Skyline Conference match. The Maccabees tallied the 6-3 win to record the squad's seventh straight victory. Yeshiva improves to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the Skyline, while the loss puts Sage at 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the Skyline.

The Gators collected a pair of forfeit wins in the match as they winners at third doubles and sixth singles. Recording the team's first win of the season at No. 5 singles was junior Gerard Beaudin (Delmar, NY/Home Schooled) was a winner in the tie-breaker over YU's sophomore Yaniv Singerman (Baltimore, MD/Home Schooled), 1-6, 7-5, 11-9.

At first singles, Yeshiva's junior Jeremy Seftel (Cherry Hill, NJ/Fuchs Mizrachi) beat junior Mike Hilton (Waterford, NY/Waterford Halfmoon), 7-5, 6-0 and improves to 6-2 on the season in singles play. At No. 2 singles, sophomore Rob Hansen (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) faced freshman Charles Saka (Deal, NJ/Hillel Yeshiva), but dropped a tight match, 6-3, 6-4.  Saka improves to 8-1 on the year, riding an 8-match win streak.

At No. 1 doubles, Seftel and Saka teamed for an 8-1 win over Hansen and Hilton and improve to 4-1 on the young season.

The Gators return to action on April 1 hosting Western New England University at Prospect Park (Troy, NY) at 3:30 p.m. in a non-conference match. Yeshiva University hosts Purchase College in a Skyline Conference match on April 4 at 8 p.m. at the Binghamton Racquet Club.
