Albany, NY--- The Sage Colleges' men's tennis team hosted St. Joseph's College (LI) on Saturday afternoon in the team's Skyline Conference home opener. The Golden Eagles tallied a 9-0 win to improve to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in the Skyline Conference, while Sage falls to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the league.

SJC's senior Ken Kadar (Coram, NY/Newfield) tallied a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles as he beat Sage's senior Alex Cabrera (Kingston, NY/Kingston).  Kadar teamed at No. 1 doubles with sophomore Matt Reed (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) for the 8-3 win over Cabrera and Rob Hansen (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna).

Hansen fell at second singles to Reed, 6-2, 6-2. Senior Dylan Spring (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) played a tight match at third singles, dropping a 6-4, 6-2 decision to sophomore Adam Friel (Bayport, NY/Bayport-Blue Point).

The Gators return to action on Wednesday, April 4 for a 3:30 p.m. non-conference match at Western New England University.
