ALBANY, N.Y. – Before tonight's non-conference game against The Pratt Institute, Russell Sage College Athletics recognized two student-athletes: senior goalkeeper Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker), and senior defender/midfielder Ian Maguire (Dunstable, MA/Groton Dunstable Regional) for their contributions to the men's soccer program. The duo added to their on-field resumes, keying the ensuing 2-0 Gator home victory.

Maguire added the RSC insurance goal at the 56:55 mark, while Brennan (Win, 3-5-4) turned aside both Cannoneer shots that came his way.

The Gators tilted the ACP pitch in their favor across the 90 minutes, outshooting Pratt (1-7-1)  22-7, including 10-1 in the opening half.

Freshman defender Ty Plumley (Waterford, NY/Waterford-Halfmoon) opened the scoring in the 20th minute, while sophomore goalkeeper Aiden Van Oostveen (Westfield, MA/Westfield) made two saves of his own in relief of Brennan.

RSC (4-6-4) returns to Empire 8 Conference play on Saturday afternoon vs. Saint John Fisher.  Start time is set for 4:00 pm.

Notes: The Gators, which have finished in the top half of the E8 Conference standings in three of the last four seasons, made their fourth appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament in 2022…RSC got off to its best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0, and established a program single-season record with five E8 victories during the debut campaign of head coach Amir Pasic.
