BUFFALO, N.Y. – Russell Sage College closed the regular season by falling 3-0 this afternoon at Medaille.

The Mavericks (10-1-6/4-1-3 E8), which earned the two seed and a first round bye in next week's Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament with the home victory, scored 59 seconds in and didn't look back. Medaille, new to the E8 after departing the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, out-shot RSC 24-12 across the afternoon.

Sophomore midfielder Rodrigo Fernandez paced the Mavs, now 37-4-6 in E8 and AMCC Conference games since 2017, with a goal and an assist.

Junior goalie Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) (Loss, 6-7-1) made nine saves for the Gators.

Today's result, combined with other games around the league, put the Gators as the three-seed in the E8 Championship Tournament.  RSC will host Hartwick, seeded-sixth, in the first round on Tuesday, November 1. Start time is TBA.
