RSC Edged 1-0 at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College was edged 1-0 at Hartwick tonight.

The lone goal of the Empire 8 Conference contest came via an own goal in the 36th minute.

Junior goalie Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) (Loss, 5-5-1) made three saves for the Gators, which were outshot 9-6 by the Hawks (4-8-2/2-4-1 E8).

RSC (7-5-2/4-2-0 E8), which began the week tied for second in the E8 standings with 12 points, continues conference play on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM at St. John Fisher. 


Notes: The Gators got off to their best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0…The fall marked the first season with Amir Pasic at the helm of the program...He picked up his first career win on Thursday, September 1 at Castleton...17 players returned to the team...Junior defender/midfielder Ian Maguire (Dunstable, MA/Groton Dunstable Regional) and midfielder/forward Christian Vålstuen (Lillestrom, Norway/Lambertseter Athletic), a fifth-year senior, were voted co-captains… Vålstuen ranks in the top-ten in program records for career goals, career points, and career assists.
