ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College began a stretch of five-consecutive home contests with this afternoon's 1-0 Empire 8 Conference victory vs. Keuka.

Senior defender Jason Breznak (Waterford, NY/Shenendehowa) got the Gators (5-3-1/3-0-0 E8) on the board in the 19th minute, depositing a header pass from junior defender Jake Spero (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) into the net.

Keuka (1-5-2/0-2-2 E8) increased its push for an equalizer in the second half. The Wolves, which totaled five of their six shots after the break, earned a penalty kick in the 74th minute, but the attempt by senior defender Thomas Callery bounced off the crossbar and did not cross the line.

Looking ahead, the Gators return to the ACP pitch on Wednesday vs. SUNY Poly. The non-conference contest is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
