RSC Edged 2-1 at Fitchburg State

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Russell Sage College was edged 2-1 at Fitchburg State this evening.

After the Falcons scored twice in the first half, freshman forward/midfielder Andrew Kraszewski (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) halved the deficit in the 52nd minute. Freshman defender Isaiah Edmonds (Earlton, NY/Greenville) assisted on the goal.

Sophomore forward Gabriel Teixeira scored both goals for Fitchburg State (1-6-1), while freshman defender Lucas Barbosa recorded both helpers.

RSC (4-3-1/2-0-0 E8) held a 32-11 advantage on shots, including a 13-2 for those on-goal, across the 90 minutes.

Looking ahead, the Gators, which saw a three-game winning streak come to an end, host Keuka on Sunday afternoon. The E8 contest is slated to begin at 2:00 pm.
