Men's soccer falls at Plattsburgh State, 1-0

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Russell Sage College men's soccer team travelled to Plattsburgh State for a non-conference match on Tuesday night. Plattsburgh struck just before the half to take a 1-0 lead at the break and held on for a home victory. The Cardinals improve to 4-1 on the year, while the loss puts the Gators at 1-2-1.

Plattsburgh's Jack Healy fired a low shot to the left side of the goal on a pass from Andrew Braverman at the 44:57 mark to give his team the lead.

RSC outshot Plattsburgh 6-3 in the second half but were unable to get the tying goal in the contest.

Sage's junior keeper Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) made four saves in the match, Plattsburgh's Teddy Healy recorded two saves in the shutout win.

The Gators have their 2022 Empire 8 home opener on Saturday, September 17 at 6 p.m. as they host the Highlanders of Houghton University at ACP Stadium.
