Gators Fall 5-1 at Union

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College fell 5-1 tonight at Union College.

After the Dutchmen got out to a 3-1 lead, freshman midfielder Braxton Harper (Sharpsburg, GA/The Heritage School) put the Gators on the board in the 58th minute. Sophomore midfielder/forward Joe Piperata (Rensselaer, NY/Catholic Central) assisted on the tally.

Union (1-0-1) answered with a pair of goals two minutes apart to regain control of the Sunday night contest.

The hosts outshot RSC by a 14-4 margin and earned an 8-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Looking ahead, the Gators (1-1-0) return to the pitch on Friday vs. Westfield State. The home opener is set to begin at 7:00 pm.
