Gators Begin Pasic Era with a Win

CASTLETON, Vt.  – Russell Sage College began the Amir Pasic era with a 3-1 win at Castleton tonight.

Rookies keyed the road victory, with each of the goals coming off the foot of a newcomer to the program. Freshman midfielder Braxton Harper (Sharpsburg, GA/The Heritage School) recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Gators (1-0), which scored the final three goals of the triumph.

Junior forward El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx, NY/Emma Lazarus) and freshman defender Isaiah Edmonds (Earlton, NY/Greenville) also netted goals for RSC, which out-shot the hosts by a 25-7 margin. The Gators also took eight corners, compared to zero for the Spartans.

The Castleton goal came when Gonzalaiz Arakaza converted a penalty kick at the 23:58 mark. 

Looking ahead RSC returns to the pitch on Sunday night at Union. Game time is set for 7:30 pm in Schenectady.
