Men's Soccer Battles to a Scoreless Draw with Manhattanville

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College men's soccer battled to a scoreless draw with Manhattanville this afternoon at the Albany College of Pharmacy Athletic Complex.

The teams had their chances across the 110 minutes, but both goalkeepers were up to the challenge. Sage sophomore goalie Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) recorded six saves, while Manhattanville senior Matthew Rodriguez turned away the lone Gator shot on goal.

The visiting Valients generated advantages in shots (23-7) and corners (9-2) on the day. 

Senior midfielder/forward Christian Vaalstuen (Lillestrom, Norway/Lambertseter Athletic) registered four of the seven Gator shots this afternoon.

Looking ahead, Sage (0-1-1) is home on Tuesday evening, hosting Albertus Magnus at 6:00 pm. Meanwhile, Manhattanville (0-0-1) returns to the Captial Region next weekend, playing at Skidmore on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
