Seybolt Named to Skyline Men’s Soccer Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Sage sophomore River Seybolt (Seldon, NY/Longwood) was named to the Skyline Men's Soccer Honor Roll of the third time this season.

The 2016 Skyline Rookie of the Year gave a four goal effort in Sage's 2-1 week. Seybolt tied his season-high two goals in a single-game in a 4-0 win over Southern Vermont. The forward also added a goal against both Maritime and Yeshiva this past weekend.

Seybolt ranks nationally in shots-on-goal (10th, 2.85) and shots/game (27th, 4.54). The forward leads the Gators in goals (8), points (18), shots (59), shots-on-goal (37) and made penalty-kicks (four). Other statistical leaders for Sage include Kevin Saar (Binghamton, NY/Windsor Central) (three assists) Derlis Zayas (White Plains, NY/White Plains) (.200 shot percentage), Lai Le (Walnut, CA/Walnut) (.800 shot-on-goal percentage) and Caelan Kohut (Southern Pines, NC/Hudson) (44 saves).

The Skyline tapped Tyler Biscone of Mount Saint Mary as the Player of the Week. Biscone recorded three straight shutouts with 13 saves. Joining Biscone as the Skyline Rookie of the Week was U.S. Merchant Marine's (USMMA) Matt McCumin. The midfielder picked up his first collegiate points with a pair of assists on the Mariners' 3-0 week.

Topping the Skyline table is undefeated Mount Saint Mary with 21 points and USMMA with 18 points. In third place is Farmingdale with15 points and SUNY-Old Westbury with 13 points in fourth. Rounding out the top six are Mount Saint Vincent and St. Joseph's – Long Island with 12 points. Sage sits in eighth with Yeshiva with seven points apiece.

Sage continues Skyline play on Sat. Oct,. 15 against Mount Saint Vincent at Lansingburgh High School. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
