TEANECK, NJ – Sage defeated Yeshiva on the road Sunday night 7-0 with goals from six different players.

Sage (4-6-3, 2-4-1) outshot Yeshiva (2-10-1, 2-7-1) 10-3 in the first 22 minutes with shots from River Seybolt (Seldon, NY/Longwood), Joe Diano (Hopewell Junction, NY/John Jay), Lai Le (Walnut, CA/Walnut), Derlis Zayas (White Plains, NY/White Plains), Paul Reynoso (Oswego, NY/G. Ray Bodley) and Kevin Saar (Binghamton, NY/Windsor Central). In the 25th minute, Seybolt put Sage up 1-0 on a Saar assist.

Yeshiva responded with three straight shots until Sage scored its second goal in the 35th minute when Heriberto Gomez (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) scored his first goal of the season on an Alex Lanza (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill). The Gators went up 3-0 a little over a minute later when Sarpong Adjei (Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton) scored on a Saar assist. Adjei added a second goal in the 41st minute on a Saar assist.

The Gators opened up the second half with five shots to two by Yeshiva. In the 64th minute, Juan Victoria (Ellenville, NY/Ellenville) scored on a Eduardo Angel (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) assist. After 15 minutes of back-and-forth action, Alberto Cannistraci (Schenectady, NY/Colonie Central) scored on assists from Nathan Ficht (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill and Christian Pinti (Slate Hill, NY/Minisink Valley) to put Sage up 6-0. Zayas followed up Cannistraci's goal with one of his own in the 87th minute on a Liam Hayes (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia) assist.

Sage's Mike Chiaravalloti (Torrington, CT/Oliver Wolcott) (2-0) was credited with the win on a four save effort while Yeshiva's Max Goldstein (0-5) picked up the loss with eight saves Zayas had a game-high six shots followed by Seybolt and Gomez with four apiece.

Tonight's win was Sage's fourth shutout with defensive efforts from Chiaravalloti, Diano, Ficht, Ryan Fairweather (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley), Anthony Williamson (Beacon, NY/Beacon) and Louis Cox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central).

Topping the Skyline table is undefeated Mount Saint Mary with seven wins.

Sage hosts Mount Saint Vincent Sat. Oct., 15 at 1 p.m. at Lansingburgh High School.
