Gators End Seven Game Unbeaten Streak at Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, NY – The Gators lost their first conference game of the season in to Farmingdale 3-0 on the road Friday night.

Sage (8-3-2, 4-1-1 Skyline) outshot the Rams 4-1 in the first nine minutes of play before Farmingdale's (7-6-1, 4-2-1 Skyline) Sebastian Ramierz found the back of the net off a J.T. Famularo corner kick to go up 1-0.

After 16 minutes of back and forth action, Mu'Ammar Camara (New Haven, CT, Eli Whitney) ripped a shot that was saved by Farmingdale's Kevin Gordillo saved the senior's efforts.

17 seconds before halftime, Farmingdale almost went up by 2-0, but goalie TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY, Beacon) denied Flynn Shanahan his first goal of the season.

River Seybolt (Seldon, NY/Longwood) teed off the first two shots of the second half in the 52nd and 56th minutes, but the freshman's efforts fell short.

In the 75th minute, Farmingdale went up 2-0 off a Sageown-goal.

The Rams came up with their final goal of the game in the 83rd minute off a John Kender goal deflected off a Ramirez corner kick to ensure the 3-0 victory.

 Gordillo was credited with the win on four saves while Zehner picked up the loss on three saves.

Sage is now in a three way tie for first in the Skyline with Yeshiva and Old Westbury.

The Gators continue their weekend road trip to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) on Sun., Oct. 18. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
