Trinidad's second half goal propels Sage to win over Bard

Annandale-on-Hudson, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's soccer team was in action on Tuesday night facing Bard College in a non-conference match. The Gators broke a 0-0 halftime tie and emerged as the victors in a 1-0 match. The win puts Sage at 1-0-1 on the year, while Bard stands at 0-2.

Scoring the lone goal on the night was junior midfielder Gustavo Trinidad (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) as he connected for his first goal of the season at 59:14. A year ago, Trinidad connected for three goals and seven assists for 13 points. He now boasts 12 career goals, which is third best on the Gator career goals list.

In goal for the Gators, senior Tim Madden (Watertown, NY/Watertown) made the start and racked his shutout of the season after turning away five of the 11 shots he faced.

Sage returns to action on September 6 travelling to Skidmore College for a 4 p.m. match.
