Box Score

SCHENECTADY, NY – The Union College men's soccer team ran their winning streak
to seven games, earning a 3-0 win over The Sage Colleges behind goals from
senior forwards Craig Santangelo, Marc Zeyak, and Tim Pryor.

The Dutchmen (7-0), ranked No. 18 in the country in the latest NSCAA Division
III poll, took control in the second half, outshooting the Gators 7-0 en route
to a 17-3 shot advantage for the contest. Sage drops to 5-3-1 on the year.

Santangelo opened the scoring on a volley off a cross from sophomore forward
Nick Vozella at 32:06 of the first half for what proved to be the game-winning
goal. Vozella cut to open space in the right corner and found Santangelo who
fired the ball off of Sage goalkeeper Trevor Paddy (three saves) and into the
net.

Union increased its lead to 2-0 early in the second half when Zeyak followed
an initial shot from junior midfielder Chris Choquette that deflected off the
post and found an open net at 47:09 for his team-leading seventh goal of the
year.

The Dutchmen added another score late when Santangelo found Pryor with a nice
through ball, springing the senior forward on a partial breakaway. Pryor
chipped a shot past Paddy to give Union a 3-0 advantage at 83:40.

Senior goalkeeper Adam Margulies stopped two Sage shots from Jose Miranda and
Evan Southworth in the first half to earn his fifth win of the season.

Sage is back in action at St. Joseph's College on September 24 in a road Skyline Conference match at 1 p.m.
